Are you thinking of using those sprockets to rotate the chain with a drive motor, and then you could change sprocket size as needed.
If I did that many chains I'd have something more automated for sure.

That’s exactly what I was thinking, you could adjust speed off the sprocket size possibly or maybe an adjustable drive.

That’s not a bad thing when all your teeth are the same
I’d already have one if a guy could find one for a realistic price.

It really shouldn’t be that hard to build one, but reproducing them in quantity would be a different story. Either way, I dig it.

So, if your using a grinder, but not a Silvey, how do you get a nice radius on the raker profile?

Tilt the head of the grinder, even on the saw chain after the first tree the chain has smoothed out to like a rolled depth gauge.

I have homelite410 (Mike Manly) and srcarr52 (Shaun Carr) to do the production end... I guess I’m just the “logistics” guy that hunts down what we need and makes it happen.

I’m going to throw it out there early that we are mostly looking to make a duplicate prototype from some spare stuff I have from when Silvey had their business auction. We can get the HDG-6 back to its owner quickly that way and have a base model to work off of. After that we’ll talk about alterations of the design for a different motor and possibly some alterations to functionality.

I saw a prototype DGG-6 earlier this year that was basically a copy of the Silvey. The company was “The Chain Shark”. I have not seen a production model yet.

There was a few differences on the prototype vs the Silvey it was interesting to see at the Oregon Logging Conference this year.

There was someone I saw going to make them and I saw they were taking orders for them but I cannot remember where it was at. I’m thinking it was on a Facebook group
