371xp means 3 series 71cc for example...kind of similar with the other models in husky lineup.

Had a stock 6100, wasn’t really any faster than a stock 357xp. It wasn’t completely broke in to be fair though. I like my 562 and the autotune is a really nice feature. Pulls a 28” impressively for 60cc and oils it too.
The stock, new 6100 I ran was a turd. The ported ones I'e seen, once broken-in, are pretty amazing. But I love the feel of my 562 and the auto-tune. I have plenty to pick from: Stihl MS201T, 012AV, MS261, Husky 142, MMWS 346xpOE, 550xp, MMWS 262xp, 562xp, Stmpbroke 372xp, MMWS Dolmar 9010. Everything not ported has been at least muffler modded or more, aside from the 201T. I wouldn't mind an Echo 620 (ported of course), but I'm not going to buy one right now.

I cut a decent amount of firewood, mainly Hedge, Oak and Locust and large trunks are possible, but all of very large canopies and usually more canopy than trunk wood making the small saws more of a necessity than just a convenience.

That was my findings too, I was impressed with for only being 60 cc, I actually like the auto tune myself. A 6100 is a nice saw but pretty big physically compared to a 562

Most everyone who has Dolmars say they are over-built strong heavy duty saws.

There 60cc saws are the same size as their 70 and 80cc saws
Wow. All built on the same chassis? I really don't know much about them. I ran a couple of Sondre's saws at CT gtg. They were nice saws.

The 6100 is a physically different and newer chassis than the 6400-7900 series of saws. Their similar size and weight, (the 6100 IS a bit lighter) but still not small. The 7900 is a wonderful saw and might actually be a bit under-built in a few areas, but they're a darn fine saw series.

9010 :babeando:... I have a weakness for those.

The Solo is the better version of that series. Solo designed them in conjunction with Dolmar, but then Dolmar basically screwed them on the deal. So, Solo made some tweaks and changes to avoid patent issues, one of them being a 1mm (IIRC) addition to the stoke on all 3 models. They're all fun saws. The biggest model is 80 or 81cc and flat hauls the mail, even stock. Ported they're truly special. Husky Horsepower and Stihl Torque in a VERY ergonomic package. The handles may be the most comfortable I've ever held. I would think about selling my 372 to build a 7900.

Dickered with 044/440 jumble saw, went through some teething issues to get it to this point, but is finally running enough to say it's alive. Learned a few things along the way on this build, not everything went easy peasy, like it should have. Hope it to be a good felling saw for myself.

Twenty inch bar, round ground Carlton chain on a 7 pin sprocket in frozen Norway Pine.
