I think I recall a member on here who has nice setups that hold chainsaws. Bolts up to bar mount.
Is that the same type of contraption you're looking for Angelo?

DDave sells 'em, I believe Homelite410 makes the bar mount adapter.

Treemonkey has been threatening to reproduce the type he uses also...

There's been a few related threads among the saw forums as well as some recipes kicking around online for various homemade trailer hitch ball vises as well as the bowling ball ones.

I have the Wilton pow-r-arm 301. It's awesome. Found it on eBay from a saw shop closing. Be hard to justify the price of a new one though.

It is a huge asset for working on saws though. Removing flywheels and clutches is 10x easier. Position the saw in any position and it's surprisingly strong.

A couple I made up from 'opportunistic materials'.

Small one is a Panavise base that I picked up at a flea mkt for a buck, I think they're about $25 new.
Piece of 5/8" rod with a couple appropriately shaped 1/4" x 1" ears tacked on.
Not nearly as robust as the Wilton but does the job as long as the requirements are modest.

The other one was made from obsolete/scrap wheelchair van parts from work, that's one of the original parts on the floor. Pivots on 3 axis and also adjustable for height. Tightening bolts are 1/2" for scrench compatibility...
