Cut em to length, roll into vehicle or trailer. Noodle next to splitter after rolling them off. Just minimizing handling.
Except, gotta check tip of bar. Log rolled wrong and may have tweeked the end.
For me it's a matter of 40" range of diameters. My splitter groans pretty good at 32" dia. 1st split. But then warranty is good for about 23 months, but moving that chunk around under vertical wedge PITA.Im gonna try my luck with the axe first. Hope i dont have to noodle them but will if i got to.

My dad smoked this up!
Not a fan of the stihl ultra at all, but it's better than 40:none, yes it stinks.BTW, I run Castrol racing 2T mostly because it cost up to half what Stihl do and is readily available at most shops here. It's popular in the off road crowd.
Also, the STihl stuff just makes me choke. This burns super clean even at 40:1.
After running it for years in a ported 281XP , ms361, and ported 241 with great results, I am impressed with it.
The folks on the estate I occasionally work use the red Stihl stuff and lord knows how well they mix it. The Echo 361 they have looks super dark on the exhaust side of things. I had a talk with them.
From what I have read that's one of the problems with 927, there are others but it's in relation to separation with racing fuels(alcohol/methanol and the like, nothing I need to worry about(it's in the description on their site).I'm a huge fan of bean oil, and have ran Maxima Castor 927 in the past, which is a clean-ish ester mixed bean oil. I put 5 gallons through a heavily ported 044 by Randy with good results at 33:1. But it did start to show some carbon on top the piston after only 5 gallons, so I used it sparingly afterwards. But that smell...almost worth it to ruin a saw with it it smelled so good. If I were wealthy, it is all I would run, and damn the saws. Worth it to be smelling doughnuts as you cut.
I have seen it separate in vp110, buddy ran it, he let it sit for 2weeks the bowls were full of oil, then he checked his can, all the oil was in the bottom!! Have another friend who runs is, and when I did the tear down on the motor there was black everywhere! Bottom of piston connecting rods and all over the ports, told him it was the oil, did change and his new motor was black everywhere too, and he finally switched, hasn’t had issues since.Yeah, I was beginning to worry about the gunk on the crown. If it were brownish, I woulda been OK, but it was BLACK. It wasn't all over the crown - just the flow pattern area. But it alarmed me some. The top of the piston did go cleaner after I ran Power1 Racing in it. We should also keep in mind this was a super high compression, finger ported cylinder that was Randy's own saw. And she liked to run hot. I had to sell her off - too hot a saw for a working saw. I think in a typical 044 you might not see as much benol combustion in the chamber.
BTW, Maxxima Castor 927 cost significantly less here than K2 does. It also cost less than Stihl Ultra, and half what Castrol 747 does. I've not seen Klotz or Amsoil here. I would love to run Techniplate. Hrm... I may invest in a 500ML bottle of 927 to run on occasion to plate the P&C a bit after I clean it up and install the new piston.
Not the best pic, but you can see some black in the exhaust directional arrow on the piston top and the swirl pattern as well as a touch of carbon creeping in on the exhaust port in the lower right there:
And this is what the piston side looked like after 5 gallons. The muffler itself came a bit darker as well. You can see it speckled with carbon.
The Bosh Chinese plug Randy sent with it after 5 gals of 927:
Her name will be supper [emoji6]Almost a pet! Lol
