I like the #s on that KS jug, the other, not so much. Too much blow down (IMO), and I would not want to raise the transfer too much. My better running saws all seem to have Tr of 120 or lower.

I've got a little cleanup before I move forward. It is my first set of bridge ports. Cut .040 off the base and .045 from the band. A little epoxy on the floor of the intake and I ended up with
98/121/77. Squish is .021. This saw will be running a 36" bar primarily. Thanks @Mastermind and @Deets066 for posting the info, pics and discussion. View attachment 161921

Looks great Kevin. You managed to get good direction in the transfers.

How did you enjoy cutting the Meteor cylinder?
Took about 1.5 hours total, rather than .5. Tried sanding it, but couldn't find the coarse stuff I've used before. Even with 80 grit, I bet I got through .005", which still made it easier to get through. Sure makes a benchtop lathe growl, I know that. Had to tighten the tailstock to keep it from vibrating and sliding off.

Yes, how do you get so deep into those transfers? Some kind of flap wheel type attachment?
MC-182 from the top and regular straight hand piece from the bottom.

I've been using 80 grit emory on a nail with a slot in it for doing finish work for about 5 years. Finally went through a roll and started using a new roll of 3M emory. It is at least 5 times better than the old roll. Wish I'd known that years ago.
