Beautiful work, and a lot going on there. How does it run? Is it a big bore, is that an 064 jug?

Mg what brand of cylinder is that? Plating sure looks pretty good lowers & uppers just have the casting flash removed?on the intake and exhaust what changes were made? Did you widen if so how much raise or lower the ports? Squish or base been modified at all? We like to hear about what was done. What do you use for porting tools? Myself i use a dremmel and flex shaft. 95% of my porting experience has come from porting pwcs and bikes/atvs. These saw cylinders are so dang small it makes for a very hard time to move the ports much with my big hands anda dremmel. The small ones less then 48mm are difficult for me to do much on the uppers or lowers. So im usually very happy to have a cylinder with transfer covers. Sometimes i wish all saws had covers as novice like me can really do some precision directional and flow work .

Hey there Smoky 7 I use a dremil as well this is the stihl branded cylinder I did nothing to the uppers the lowers I tapered the bottoms and I didn't widen the ports at all or rase or lower them on this cylinder do to getting really expensive to replace a 064 cylinder but I did make the outer porshen of the exhaust port quite a bit bigger with dremil and round file and different grits of sand paper then a polishing wheel the intake was surprisingly ugly on this cylinder so did the same thing to it but didn't get it to slick most of time I will if I need to do anything to the squish band I take a piston with adhesive sad paper stuck to it and take a little bit off at a time but normally will only do that if I am doing a bass gasket delete and if I do any widening of the ports I normally only 1mm wider on each side but like I said earlier I really don't want to go that way with this cylinder I did just my basic mellow port job on this one but if it was a 066 or ms660 she would have got the full meal deal. Lol. And I've done this to a lot of 044 which is how I first started porting I had a lot of 044s and a lot of friends who had the 044s and 038s as me not a real big fan of anything smaller do to just getting in the small bore with my hands and dremil some day I will give the 200t a try I've rebuilt a few of them but there high rpm specials as is. Lol
