He's got an old 360 Ford big block Buck.

I hear a 360 Mopar with 318 heads makes a good running motor.

360 Ford isn't the hottest motor for playing with, but is one of the best truck motors ever designed, torque and lots of it can haul, tow way more than the truck can with ease. If you know what to do with them they will scoot right along, keep your gas card handy.
The 318 Mopar is one of the toughest, long lasting little V8's out there and would be my choice over a more powerful 360 Mopar version.

It could but its an old school simple design. Ive watched a few videos on it and the head engineer said the thing they spent the most time on was the oil ring pack. And despite its size its really just a big Windsor motor. It's foot print under the hood is smaller than the 6.2 or even the 5.0 coyote motors. I'll give it a few years and see what the used market looks like. Being a Chevy guy I'm really looking in to them. Plus they have the straight axle like real trucks should.
They might be affordable in a few years as well lol. Yep straight axle is where it's at.

Only thing available in my price range will be one with about 300,000 miles and the tongue hanging out.

Good morning saw nuts, @Uncle Buck is bringing over some kind of weird Saturn coil pack to see if I can test it. Have no clue but I will give it a try, worst that can happen is I burn it up, but then I can tell him for sure he needs a new one. Lol
Burn the whole car up.

Yep looking at 390 rotating assembly parts now. Might as well while being in there. Just makes more sense keeping it a FE motor. Good morning Steve.

...or just do like everyone else does now days and just say it's a 390, you can't tell the difference on the outside. Lol

Of I had more free time I could probably pick up their saw and trimmer work.
One of the nearby township supervisor's asked me about doing repair work but they want you to have a tax number which I do not. I keep plenty busy without giving those IRS mfers any more money.

Never thought about that.

Hell I barely have enough time as it is.

T535i XP had weight 2.4kg + battery weight.
T540i XP has weight 2.5kg + battery weight.
If I got it correct they also introduce a new battery.

The 540i XP will not be available until later this spring, gotta be honest, I may buy one. Light saw, easy to store inside the tractor cabin, little maintance costs, etc
If they had had a 540 XP with rear handle I would had liked to purchase one of them as well.....

Lmao I can't do that bs. I did find out it has 390 gt heads on it already.

They're really just 390's with a 352 crankshaft and rods. The pistons in mine say 3904V on them with valve reliefs, this being the earlier version, it was the later smog versions that gave them a bad reputation, dished pistons and the rest of the smog stuffs, they killed off the 390 and it never got it, so it's reputation stayed intact.
Go back to 1966 for tune information on the big FE's this alone will help awaken your 360/390, after that the tunes were for emissions already.
