Hello everyone! Figured this would be the quickest way to get some responses? Sorry if it’s in the wrong forum. I found a new 2172 that has never been started. What is a fair value on it? Would this be a saw to have ported and use just about on anything? My cousin has a couple Jonsereds that I’ve used in the past and really enjoyed using them.
Thanks for your help.

Yes, you posted this in the wrong place.

Fun saws ported, very forgiving in the cut.
Sold a good number of new/reconditioned 2166 for 450 plus shipping PHO for reference. Ported they are basically the same saw.
I have 20" and 24" bars and chains here for it if you need something let me know.
Here's what the 2172 will run like with a muffler mod and a 24" square chain in seasoned black locust, first tank.
Here's one that's work ported with a 24" round ground chain in cherry.

Thanks for replying. This person is asking $850 for this saw. So I can get one for well under that?

$850 is doable for a saw no longer being made. If you have to have it. The Redmax GZ7100 is the old Jonsered 2712 and it sells for $849

As others said, that's pretty high. If your using a saw every day and that's the saw you want, then go for it, its your money, but by the time you get it to a porter and back you'll be into it for 1200 roughly which is more than I would want to spend.
Are you stuck on a jonsered?

How many do you need?
You had a stack of them
I was joking Dave.
I have a ported one left out of the "stack" that I've been running since right after I got them, it's the one in the second video.
Make sure it doesn't have an R melted in the tank.

Jreds are junk anyways.
They suck lol.
Nope, you were there. 2nd post like normal
Oh whoops, your right lol.
Hey I was thinking about you today, I looked at my 572XS today :D.
I did however run the ported 372xtorq today with a 28, fun saws.
