2153 is running 20" 3/8 skip
I ran a Cannon 20" .375 full comp on this 550 before the muffler mod and it required somewhat of a lighter hand. The .325 and 3/8 picco had very good lean on but the fastest and smoothest to me was the picco. I can hear the rpm and torque on that 2153 woke it up very nicely. Im toying around with ideas about this 550 but hadnt set nothin in concrete yet. Been to busy pondering and building a hot 440 hybrid that will be a 20" bar machine hopefully. Thinkin maybe 97/115 or 116/ 80 to 82?

Great build Scott .:headbang:
You said when opening up the exhaust that you wouldn't do if you were going to use a piped exhaust can you explain more into that?

the header on the pipe needs to be close to the size of the port window. by opening the port as I did on this saw, the pipe flange would leave a step, or the pipe would need to be bigger then it should be.

Wasn't this the saw you ran a lightweight bar you milled and filled with goop? How did that end up? Been thinking about doing something similar.

yes it works great, holds up well. it's 18" 325. i'm now using 20" 3/8 skip. most likely do the same to this bar. saw could handle 24"3/8 skip.

How's the full comp 18" .325 pull compare to the 3/8 20" skip?
