Sold off my smaller saws other than my top handle. I am mainly a big saw guy. Always had a love for a good muscle saw and much need. Seems I'm always in big wood. I have a few favorites, like to get more when I can, but my 21p1 still sees use almost daily and I still love it. Been using my 395 and 28I a lot lately too. 3 big trees down on the way to work the other day, on our private road, glad my 288 was behind the seat. Hour and a half of cutting but I got through. Glad to be on the new site, Norm.

On topic: 395XP, P61, Poulan 4900, with a 288XP coming soon.

Also does a Homelite 925, or a SD 123 count as a Muscle Saw?

Not sure what you guys consider a muscle saw?

In the last couple years I've traded off a 2100cd, a 797, an 840 Mac, a 288xp, a 385xp, an 056 Super, and a PM850, and sold a 395xp, a ported 2188, (2) 288xp's, a 2095, an 064, and a 655BP...

I've still got a P60, a MMWS MS661, a MMWS 064, and a MMWS 288xp. :)

Anything that kicks like a mule starting and has reed valves for sure. 90cc or so is about where I would think they start. Modern saws still don't sound as good as these older reed valve and some of the long stroke Sachs.

Homelite 6ci

Got rid of the gear drive but it was fun to run.

The 925 is borderline muscle saw imo, it dosent quite have the same feel as the big brothers..

I think the true muscle saws are the 90cc+ American made, of the 60's vintage. Lower rpm, reed valve torque saws. Kind of like the true muscle cars.

The stihls, husqvarna are more like sports cars. When it comes down to a "muscle saw"

Good to see you around, Norm.

How's thangs in the thriving metropolis of Cazadero?

I'm glad to hear the 2101 is still as bad ass as ever.
Thinks are great, off the grid here. Lot's of trees coming down in the storms. So I carry my muscle gear in the truck.
