This is thing that bugs me most. With rumours that the 441C will be available for sale in the USA again on Tuesday (August 1st) does this mean a delay of the release of the 462 ? Or is the actual release of the 462C on Tuesday and the person that said it was the 441C just didn't know about a complete new model?

Either way I want an Arctic model when you can get them

Went to my local dealer today, he knows nothing of the 462, but said the 441 is due to return very soon. Not sure if it will be different or not??? Would seem logical that it may be lighter like the 362 & 261 Ver IIs.

Had a 2171 and sold it, liked the feel and looks better than the 372 but neither compared to a 044/440.

I've been through a few 441s, several 046/460s and keep going back to the 044/440. Haven't ran a 461 yet though...
That's great, but just because you prefer them, doesn't make them the best 70cc ever... obviously everyone has different needs and taste. I had a ported 440 hybrid and I liked it a lot, but my ported 7900 would spank its ass, and was much smoother to run, but it was a little heavier. The Stihl's wide clutch cover was much better for noodling.

I sold my 7900, traded my 440 hybrid for a Solo hybrid, and also have a ported 2171... and honestly every damn one of those saws are awesome, and I would be content with any of them as my only 70cc saw.

I have an 044 right now, but much prefer my 441c. Maybe the two pounds heavier is what makes it so smooth. The 441 is ported and it smoked the 460 I had too. I'm exited about the 462.

Smoothness comes from the springs.
