I'm thinking maybe a worn piston might slap and do it. Or a defect maybe. 661 does it too. There's a thread on here about it, and the 1st one I ported for Rodney did it. Both on the bottom left intake skirt
Most felling cuts are with the flywheel side up. could there be a connection with air flow/cooling/lube etc. Grasping at frog hairs with this thought.

No idea really. There isn't a whole lotta room for anything else in there. Once the piston wears a little I could see where it might bump something

I think he's confusing torque with the difference in the felling spikes. If he'd put the small dogs back on the 461 he'd find it's much harder to stall the chain.
I think he's confusing YT stardom and being a dbag.

"If" I was allowed to send these to the US it would run about $1350USD with PayPal fees.
What do you mean "if"?

He talks to the camera too much for me. I'm more about narration of what's going on in a timely fashion.
Plus if you are going to open a box then say "time" at the end like AvE you need to do it AvE style and rip that box to shreds.

The only thing I noticed about the 462 is it had a very light loose feeling to the AV system. The 461 has typical rubber AV where it's a pretty solid feeling to it. Feels rugged. Idk I'm torn between 461 and 462 the more I think about it.

MS461R is a hard mid-size saw to beat.

Touch Bases with the Flyin’ Dutchman.

He believes he’s using the right ratio mixing an oil container for 5 gallons with 4 1/2 gallons of gas.

It doesn’t sound right to me.

@ 32:1, it should be 3.4 gallons of gas, no?

You think that's gonna be a big hit ?

I Do.

It’s going to replace the 461 as their mid size felling saw.

The 462 was always supposed to replace the 440/441 saws. IDK why it’s not the 442...

A 461 with a touché more grunt.

I think my hybrid and 461 are fairly close. Hybrid is probly ahead by a little bit.
I ran the hybrid against a ported 462 with the same chain in a 24” cant.
462 has a ways to go before I’d consider using it over either of the two saws I have

In my experience, Hybrids are great in 28” & <, but when a 32” comes out, the 461 has more guts.

Not to say my High Bred don’t do it, but for me, the 461 does a 32” better.

28" reduced weight is what many loggers round here use. Including myself for a LONG time. Not even just for timber size, but to reduce bending over so much.

Let me know how you feel about it, honestly after using it a bit. I value your input...
