Any difference between maxflo and uni-filters?? Same oiled foam, I use uni-filters on ms660 and don't see any fines getting thru. Clean about every 10-15 tanks. I also put an outer-wears cover on it in case if rain or snow.

I've always liked uni filter since they are easy to fit to dirt bikes, carts saws and been proven good chit for many years problem free

Can you but just what we are looking at Mike. Ive searched a bit and it seems all the kits come with covers also.
I believe so. I know you can get the filter and cage in a kit separate.

I checked a couple days ago. Filter alone was $14. Shipping was $14. Ouch

I just got my order from HL supply. I got a aftermarket filter, the one with the felt over wrap, paper filter, and a foam insert. Is this the HD2 style? It certainly looks better than my steel screen OEM filter. Do you folks like or despise this set up with the foam? Do you oil the inner foam element?

Don't oil any of it. The inner foam will oil itself

This is a HD2 filter from a 461 clogged with Redgum dust after 4 tanks of fuel.
