Log splitting job

Sam Coxe from Old Lyme came out to visit and I enlisted his help. The job involved probably around 2 cords of wood, cutting up tree lengths and splitting the wood. It took around 5 hours for us, estimate was $250. By brother thought it was worth a lot more.

I've seen delivered cords around here go for 250, or more if its Osage Orange.

Hard maple, hickory mainly. You charge for the labor and machine. Customer keeps the wood.

So wood is their's and on site and you just cut and split then leave?

Sounds kind of fun.

sounds a bit low. I charge 50-60$ and hour for myself and the machine to do mobile processing.
