I love my 5105 and believe it is the strongest and smoothest stock 50cc on the market as far as I can tell (have tried all brands). But I still prefer the 2152 with .325 chain for light trimming, brush ,etc. It's just a bit lighter, thinner and easier handling.

Huh?

Anyhow, gave the 2150 a good workout today on the dead elm tree. I used it to cut up all parts of the trunk and large limbs from 8-14" diameter. The Jonny did quite well, not as fast or smooth as the Dolly but definitely in the rear view mirror. The 2150 is surprisingly loud for a stock late model saw with a distinctive high rpm howl. Much more so than the Dolly even though it tops out around 1000 rpm lower. I do keep an eye on the muffler and it remains snug and properly fastened. For $125.00 purchase price plus $40.00 for a new Oregon Pro-Lite 18" bar and chain I'm quite happy.

Howdy fellas,
I know a guy that has a Jonsered 920 that looks to be complete but he says it has a scorched top end. He wont give me a price on it and seems like he thinks it is worth it's weight in gold. Just curious what kind of price range something like this would be in. It's definitely used but not totally destroyed. I assume locating a good top end is going to be a challenge.

No idea yet, probably with my saw collection on a shelf. Only problem is I don't have any jonsered saws.

Probably been discussed before, what year did Jonsereds change their name Jonsered?
Early 1980?

Did a little research and sounds like somewhere between 80 and 84 the s was gone on everything. This was due to it taking awhile for parts to go and models to switch after the Electrolux take over in around 1978. So had I'd researched earlier I'd have know the oil cans to be in the 70's or real early 80's
