I went ahead and put this one together without changing them. Everything looked good on it. Trying a VEC piston from Northwoods. I had a NOS 920 piston but my 2 year old dropped it

I can't like that. I have a Little Red Barn piston I will be trying.

Did you do anything to the cylinder? Base gasket delete? I haven't got close to checking squish.

Base gasket delete netted .031" squish. I just wanted to see if it ran after pulling the piston out of the box and seeing it cracked when she dropped it.

Thanks, that was a trade-in my local Stihl dealer saved for me, at the time I didn't have any Jonsereds saws so I just had to have it

My only Jonsered. A mildly ported 670. I really like this saw. Smooth with lots of torque.

Not much to go on here but an old friend asked me to look into this. He has an older Silver Top Jonsered saw, serial number tag is 889238 in need of a recoil spring.

I have a couple of 621's, really nice saws in the day though a bit heavy compared to their modern counterparts.





I had a 930 as well as this 910 (with the 920 clutch cover) but the 930 went to live with Modified Mark.
