Just talked to a friend of mine who is a manager of a local family owned chain of fleet stores. From what he was telling me Johnsred not going away completely but they will only sell small ones that are rebadged poulan pros exclusively through tsc. The upper end ones are going to disappear or get absorbed by the redmax line.

Unfortunately they are pretty much going away from what I understand they were just a husky in different plastic. And now that husky bought mcculloch you can get yellow and black poulans. The local dealer has husky Johnsred and stihl. Stihl biggest seller husky was second and Johnsred a distant 3rd. The rest of the saw sales are the Remington rodeos ect.

Why don't they just do the honorable thing and retire the brands altogether? I cannot understand how it benefits anyone, including Husky, to keep the rotting corpses of Poulan, Mac, and Jonny on display. Sell the brands and trademarks and be done with it.

It’s for all the younger people. They say dad had a “ insert brand here” growing up and it was a good saw. So that person buys that brand because of what dad had. Doesn’t matter that it’s nothing like the old one.

Can anyone recommend a supplier for the intake boot/clamp for a cs2150? Looking for a full retro kit. It would be great if they also sell a carb kit.

Call any husqvarna dealer to order the clamp, it's the same as the husqvarna 357/359. They'll hook you up with a carb kit too. The boot is nla, but the 357 boot looks like it might work. You'll have to match yours up to the 357 one to see if it's close enough. They don't have matching part numbers, but the ipl pics look like it could be the same thing or close enough to call it good.
