Once you get your mind wrapped around the position of the file its really not harder than round. And just cuts so much smoother.

Can you post a pic of how you are holding the file? Still doesn't look right. There needs to be a defined line left from the corner of the file (black line). This is the line where the angle changes on the file. So from the left of the line is where the wide flat part of the double bevel is touching the cutter and to the left of the black line is where the smaller edge touches.

i was just about to make a line on a pic like that too.. gotta tuck the file under yr chin and in a downward motion; it looks like you are going more across the tooth.. use the edge to line it up like in the pic above. then start filing. HTH

The line is there The Flash is hiding it I'm still a little bit low I think it's also my consistency I'm holding the file getting the line straight down that point but I think it's getting better I'll try to get better pictures

Clean the gullet out better before you start and turn the flash off if you're using your phone. Put a sheet of paper behind it will help it focus

Good advice. I took a lot of poor pictures before stumbling on the white background.

BTW he makes that look SOOO much easier than it is in my hands....

That he does. The vid shows the basic technique. Not really the presice zoomed into, this is where the edge of the file goes, but it gives a good idea as to the angle of how it's supposed to flow.
He had two up, but the other disappeared.
