I heard from a pro logger it has tons of grunt, lots of low end torque, so I was surprized to hear about a short stroke, though I figured port timing was going to be the main reason for it.

The saw has 79,2cc so the stroke must be around close to 35mm with a 54mm bore if i'm thinking right

I'm guessing the generator powers the injection pump? Years ago, when I was a firefighter, myself and a co-worker explored the idea of using an artic
generator to power a lamp for night-time operations. We were never able to get the voltage right though.

The generator does only power the control unit. The injection pressure is given by pulse from the crankcase.
Before the start the pressure has to be build up with the purger bulb.

this is always a problem for me in these comparisons, I just do not have a single stock saw in my inventory. I always have to look out for stock saws in my circle of acquaintances to do these stock saw tests

What is a STOCK saw? Define please...

Just ported with a squish cut and muffler mod[emoji28] but the 462 is totally stock

So.... i expected that 461 is par with the stock 500i

I’d say it will take the 500 until it gets tweaked
