i like the saw the recoil kept jamming up trying to start it but i swapped another one on it till i dig into the one that came with the saw.
i got a video uploading right now but the saw runs and oils fine.

Jake,

On those old style recoils you have to pull straight up or they will hang, especially when they get older sometimes they will wear a groove into the back of the guide and the rope will fall in there and hang.

the spring is the problem on this one i got to get it apart and apply a little grease to it.

i got a few spare parts for the 61-272 series.

if this saw came from dave it shouldn't need a clutch since i replaced the shoes and spring on it before i sold it to him.
it was very rough when i first got it. i replaced the muffler, metal handle, fuel line, clutch shoes and springs along with the rim i did put a used brake band in it to get the metal flag chain brake working.
