570/575 bottom end is different from the 576, so that wouldn't have been a great solution, allthough a nice offer from Steve. See how much better it is to have called the saw a 576 instead of the 575 Mark II? Is there a "good grief" smiley?

But Steve's 570 carcass if it's complete, could offer the opportunity for an inexpensive 575 build. How much is left there Steve? There are some 575xp AM top ends out there, to keep the cost way down. In fact, the OEM 575 top end is NLA already, which seems early. 575 is a strong runner and very smooth. 570 won't have the crank stuffers, but i don't think that matters.

Now that's funny, well sort of lol.
Do you need my opinion on the AM 575 tops :p.
I actually did have a pretty bad one, decomp didn't line up, quality was very bad. This was many yrs ago though.
575 is a very smooth saw.
My 575 mark II scored a piston with about 10 tanks on it, bad decomp o_O.

Decomps do leak more often than than most guys would think. :)

I've only seen AM 575 kits listed for sale, but never had one in my hands. But like all that stuff, the quality is probably all over the map. Funny that there's no 576 kits, cause that was on the market twice as long as the 575.

Sold my last 576 last week; NLA from the factory for a while now. Will soon be "last call" on the 372 also. Looks like they are going to run out before the end of the year; maybe a month from now. Gonna do my last order this morning. :)

The back of the case is broken, it was a crushed saw that I harvested the top end from and installed on a blown saw along with a new set of seals. The crank and bearings should be like almost new as it was low hour saw before being crushed. that and maybe an oil pump is all that's left. It does have the stuffers on it though.
It went down the road and is now a dishwasher in the kitchen. Hated to do it as it was such a smooth running saw, but I was really tired of doing the dishes by hand, so...
...down the road it went.

Don't know why folks don't like these saws, I thought it was great and with the updated seals in it from Husqvarna shouldn't be a worry to it.

The Husky 543xp and Redmax GZ4350 looks to be the same saw other than color. Anybody know if this one is a Redmax rebadged as a Husky, or is it a Husky rebadged as a Redmax? Made in Sweden or Japan? I really like the looks of it, this saw also seems to have more Redmax styling cues to my eyes.

I really like my husqvarna carpenters axe. I got it as an “open box” someone had dropped it looked like on concrete. It had several large nicks in the bit with yellow paint around them. A bit of file work and some honing and my old straight razor strop put it back in shape pretty well though.

Now that is a usable carpenters axe. Looks good.

Double post

I use it for a large hatchet since I like a longer handle as well as it’s intended purpose.

Husky 345 big bore kit question:

Which orientation of the riser block is correct?

Never done one but wouldn’t you look at the transfer port orientation on the cylinder as installed and match the spacer up with that?

Nothing that would indicate.

Edit:
Just discovered the bolt pattern only lines up one way.

Looks like the styling of the new pro saws is dripping down to the homeowner stuff as well. Just noticed the 135 Mark II on the Husky site:

Too bad it’s like putting lipstick on a pig if it’s still a rebadged poulan pro with a 50$ upcharge for the orange plastic instead of yellow. I’m not a fan of calling it something it isn’t, a poulan is a poulan and I personally think it’s wrong to sell two saws that are identical in every way for a difference of 50$ just because your telling the customer it’s a husky or jonsered. What percentage of shops that handle husky or jonsered and poulan pro would tell the customers that they can save money and have the same exact saw by purchasing the poulan pro instead. This is all my opinion of course and I know a poulan isn’t a bad saw for poulan money but it isn’t very good for husky money.

I totally agree, but it just has to run better with that Husqvarna sticker on it, don't it?
