Are you still building saws?I was indecisive if it made any real difference. It seemed to run equally well with my traditionally ported 346 cylinder.
I haven't been taking regular saw work for more than 1 1/2 years. I've done a couple here and there, but very little. Are you still building saws?
SKF 6202 C3 VG104Off the top of yer heads does anyone know what the bearing number is for the 350's? I am looking through the SKF catalog and cant remember the standard bearing number, not the Husky part number... eurgh.
SKF 6202 C3 VG104
Husky updated their bearings to VG104 in some 90's, you probleby won't find the VG104 bearing on SKF's homepage but its available through SKF, I've bought it from them
6202 C3 VG104 isnt plastic cage, if I remember correct VG104 stand for improved cage materiale. Is that bearing with plastic cage? Those cost around 40 euros, and takes a week to ship....... I just put SKF 6202-C3 in a 340/hyway cyl. & meteor piston along with new seals. Bearings were branded " explorer " whatever that means!!! They are mentioned to be ok to 28 000 rpm....... And cost for set of two were less than 8 euros.

@Spike60Would someone in the know be happy to give me a quote for either a good clean NE used 346 top end kit or a NE new 346 top end kit posted to the UK? I cannot for love or money find any in the UK!
I've never checked, but the OE feels more snotty and quicker to rev. Must be a little different. So question tonight is... do the port numbers change much between the 346xp oe and ne jugs being the same crank stroke etc and all??? just a question [emoji3]
