Filed a little more tonight, I think I need more down angle but I feel like I'm getting more consistent. It cut like a champ but needs more self feed. Which part of the cutter affects feed?

Looks like the rakers need to be taken down some even with perfect angles the chains still won’t self feed.

Compare your toof to this and look at the angles. Little bit of forward lean on the side plate will help self feed. Don't go nuts on the raker, you're not far back on the tooth yet.

So just a few degrees back instead of strait up and down on the side plate?

This is my first experience with a square cutter, so I'm not real sure how much different it should feel while in the cut.
It all depends on the angles. Really sharp with forward lean will be really aggressive with .025 rakers. On the other hand, blunt angles with minimal forward lean and .030" rakers can be smooth even on a 50cc saw.

346 runs this just fine. .028" rakers

All these chains have different power heads they live on so the grind is adjusted depending on one it’s used on. One is a 60” the full skip that goes on a 395, one is a 42” semi skip that can go on a 395 or a 390 which the tooth won’t be enlarged like it will be for the 395, the 36” can live on the 372, 390, or the 395 in which case the 372 grind will difference like the 42 but the 390 or 395 will share the same grind with a sprocket change, and the last is a 32” which can live on all the above as well as a 562.
