Honda / Zanardi generator welder.

Gents,
I have a Honda powered Zanardi HM1 200 amp generator / welder. I removed the end cover from the alternator for cleaning and found this, anyone have an idea what it is?

Looks like relay contacts. Here is something a lil similar. off the net.

Yes I was going to say rocker switch contact, maybe not a rocker switch, but definitely switch related.

I had a problem with my little welder, it would only work on the 2nd power setting and the min/max switch worked. but not the first power setting or third power setting.

I took the power switch off and apart , and there were a few of those things in there.

I put it back together and it all worked as it should. I was happy and relieved
