Home made semi skip

Has anyone made their own semi skip chain by grinding off every third cutter? It isn't the exact spacing as factory but it should still give the best of both worlds on a longer bar, right?

It might work.
That's alot of grinding.
Sometimes I Make the old Stihl
Safety chains regular chains but you invest alot of time grinding.
Depends on how much time you have

You will end up with 2 lh or 2 rh cutters in a row ,i would just get semi skip made up already .

Would it be easier to start with a full slip and remove every other skip?

My take on a custom skip chain, I've cut every third tooth's top plate, 115DL/36" , Carlton A2 chisel.
I left the side plates with chip clearance in mind.
Seems to work nicely.

I have never seen skip tooth in Croatia!
Easier and cheaper to buy full comp and play with it.

Just saying, things that are common in one place can be complete rarities elsewhere!

I didn't "need" skip, but I have two identical 115DL loops and decided to play with one.
