Nice! Good stuff eh?
The customer never picked up this 272 I rebuilt a couple weeks ago up
So I used it for a tree job todayIMG_20230512_094056.jpg
I have about 8 tanks through it with my bar and hipa chain on itIMG_20230512_094150.jpg
It stretched quite a bit the first about 3 tanks then didn't anymore
just about like lgx has performed for me.
It's still fairly sharp
It could use a handfile for next time
For 5.00 I'll keep running it.

I just ordered 2 loops of .325. I didn't realize they were having an anniversary sale. The loops I got a while back were like 10 bucks each. I got 2 .325 .050 78dl full chisel for $9.90 total . You can't beat that anywhere.

Well dumb me ordered .325 to try on an 18 inch bar I had kicking around just to realize I don't have a single .325 rim sprocket anywhere so I guess I will have to try it another time

If You own a bunch of chainsaws, You gotta have spare sprockets in all sizes.
You should know that! ;)

Do You want me to borrow You a large spline .325" 9 pin I run on my PS-9010? :p

I just looked at the hipa store at full skip chain. They show 3/8 .063 for a 36" bar with 115 drivers. Mine is 114. Is that a misprint or are there actually 36" bars with 115 drivers. I started to order one but I thought I should ask ya'll first.

I read the hipa ad on as they are a sponsor there
They said a warehouse is shutting down is a reason there's such a good deal on chains
I don't know if that will change anything buying them in the future
But the 84dl .50 is no longer available
My friend wanted 30 loops for blocking.

I ran a 28" .050 loop today and it cut well. It was sold as "ripping chain" and has a tooth profile like a semi chisel/full chisel hybrid. It doesn't have the true, pointed corner but isn't as much of a rounded corner as other semi chisel I've ran. I sharpened it on my grinder prior to using and took the rakers down a little. It stretched a lot with the first several cuts but not much more after that. My first impression is good, especially given the price.

Yeah, I'd like to buy a bunch of loops in that size too for that price

Good to know. I didn't really know what they were calling ripping chain. I may order a couple for my 18" bars. Thanks for the info.

True 36" 3/8" D009 mount Iggesund Forest bar is 115DL and fits perfectly on PS-7900 & PS-9010.

All kinds of weird DL counts out there!

P.S.:
You might get by using 115DL on Your 114DL bar utilizing an 8 pin sprocket on Your saw.

I think I may have one Oregon preset. If it would work with this chain, I could take one driver out.

I have been running Forester bars on my Dollies, Generally I am 1 drive link shorter than what is listed on Bar, on bars under 24" over 24" 2 drive links. I buy bulk chain so this does not represent any problems for me as I have the tools.

I have a clone 660 that I built from a kit years ago. I run a 25" bar on it. I bought a 36" archer bar and it says 114. My intention was to try milling but unfortunately that hasn't happened yet. I haven't even put the 36" on it yet.
