Michigan law states you must have my permission to come on my property to recover game.
No I do not want any one elses game, so I have always said yes.
Then there is the guy who bow hunts a narrow strip of woods about 30 feet wide at the widest point. He used to wait till after dark every year to come knock on the door and ask. I told him one that next year if you do not come and ask for permission before the season starts and interrupt my dinner I am going to tell you to get off my porch and stay off my property. I will bury any dead critter (deer) i find on my place.
So he started comeing in Sept and asking and I have always told him to go ahead if he has the need.
then last fall he comes at the of Oct and says his son and brother in law are coming to hunt the area on the week end can they recover game on my place.
I say yes again. then the following Thursday I am in my woods and here comes this guy says he is the brother in law and had arrowed a doe just a couple hours ago and could he track it.
Again I say yes but am not happy as I do not consider Thursday the week end.
So I am doing a test on the edge of a bedding area on my property. My game cam picked this guy up at 1:51PM going thru my test area and the bedding area.
Note the pant legs
I'm not happy but I did give permission to track his deer and at this point It has traveled across a 330 foot chunk of property 600 feet of another chunk of property and about 200 feet of that same chunk. In other words it has covered a lot of ground .
Then at 4:41 PM another guy is covering nearly the same area. I am not sure but think is is the neighbour.
Note the pant legs and camo patteren.
Now why did they have to cover the same area twice?
My game cam never picked up another buck in the area since the day before.
Going to try to get the money to put uo a new fence between us and them and not give permission for 2019.
