Just wondering what everyone is using for plastic felling wedges? Are any better than the other? What's the best place to get them?
Thanks in advance for the help.

I have one of those Oregon wedges. I have had it for 10 years. Still going strong.

Thanks for the responses. Anyone use the Stihl or Husqvarna brand wedges?
I also see some aluminum wedges on line. Anyone try them?

I've got a set of the three Husqvarna wedges...have worked fine for me but haven't used them but a few times. Seem reliable and no damage to them yet. Think I paid about $20 bucks for the set a couple of years ago.

K&H are the best I've tried. Red Head are smooth and are ok in summer but don't stick in frozen wood as good. Madsens house brand works fine for bucking and normal work. K&H for lifting a lot on trees when falling. They have wider ends and more taper.

I've used husqvarna ones and woodland pro both held up decent. I don't think any of them last forever but no problems with either of the two respectable for the price

I used aluminium wedges "back in the day" as they say. I think today's plastic wedges are superior. No worry of pooching your chain with the plastics.

I think the hardhead ones from Beaver State plastics are pretty good, as are the k&h red heads. The hardheads have a textured finished that helps them bite, but not as well as some with teeth. I have some with "teeth" that work gooder in the winter, but I don't do a lot of winter felling anymore. Forget the brand off hand maybe oregon.

If I need a lot of lift for wedging a tree over, I like Black Bear rifled wedges for stacking. They have a v groove that locks them together and keeps them from slipping sideways on ya.
