Trees striking the lines will start fires. Lines or poles brought down by falling trees will start fires, no power running through them, no fire.

Sorry Amigo just saw this. We been good, sleeping with one eye open and all saws loaded. The fire is a ways from our hills, but it is possible in worst conditions, which a few nights ago have us a startle. Winds were 70mph, and blowing West right in our face, fire jumped lines and gained 12,000 acres that night. Still a ways and lots of prayers away. Now 50 percent or better contained. But this Kincade fire was no joke.

Been awhile I've been sidetracked. How we all doing? Like spring time here. I have been switching my saws over to light bars, Oregon, and now one Cannon. Big difference especially in steep ground, even the flat ground tree jobs.
