What is it being ran on? What type of wood as well? All three of my bars still have paint and lettering.

395. All species in my area hard/soft residential tree service. Very pleased with bar performance just surprised paint and lettering come off with first few cuts.

That 32 has a ton of hours production cutting for about a year and half straight, the 42 I have had most of the paint still even after lots of use over about 15 years of use. My bet is your chains aren’t sharp enough causing heat. How thick is your bar oil?
