What does grinding the rivets do? Less resistance?

This one got delivered to be touched up.
Gonna braze on new tips, or use filler rod?

Just cut the cutters top plates down to the raker height and turn it into a scratcher chain!
The operater of that chain won't know the difference anyway.

Sad, so sad!
I don't have a clue, but at least I don't do something like that.

On a serious note!
Trash the loop, refuse to sharpen it.
Once You sharpen the cutters that loop will be dangerous with rakers that low - don't take any responsibility for that, I sure wouldn't.

I do stuff like this!
But the cutters meet the raker hight within 3-5 "normal" sharpening passes.
This is a nearly new "Dolmar 496" branded Oregon Vanguard chain currently on my PS-6100MMWS, she pulls it fiercely in beech and even Turkey Oak.

I refused to do anything to it. Also refused to give it back on safety issues.

For some reason... I'm kinda seeing the Maxell tape guy Davidwyby's chain tooth.
Anyone remember the advert with the dude sitting in the low square chair?

Mercy, having a Rorschach flashback or something I guess
