It got a new intake and a Edlebrock (Carter copy) 625 when it got pulled back out to get re-ringed. It was my dad's '79 Vett, not much reason to keep those turds stock anyway.

Not me, better fuel economy and idle characteristics, better acceleration, they tend to NOT leak (something a Holley cannot do) and just all around a better performing carb for a street car. Plus, they have a bad reputation from people not knowing how to set one up correctly so they can be had on the cheap.

Nope, to maximize displacement I started with the larger bore.

Why add only 4.6cc? I've heard of people putting 394 cylinders on a 288 case.

I'm going to take some measurements and see if a Jonsered 2095 jug would work better on a 288 case. They're lower and shorter than a 394 jug and might be a closer match to a 288.

By .2cc. I haven't heard of anyone saying you couldn't run a 2100 in 6ci.

Because I already have a ported 288... but a ported and stroked 288 sounds intriguing.
