Wish I had something that worked that good! Air filter cover was cracked so that's brand new from Echo. Chain brake parts were gone from side cover so I found a different one on ebay. Recoil cover was broke - also ebay. And since I was on ebay anyway I grabbed a nicer looking top cover.

Try a product found at the dollar store called totally awesome. I have had great results with it when cleaning my sxs after a muddy ride.

Awesome I'll have to go hunt around for it. Always worth a shot

Nice work.

Does the 5500 share parts with the 4000-5000 chassis? I know the bore/stroke varies, but do the covers swap?

Covers actually the same as the 6700.

I use simple green and it does not eat aluminum like purple power. It's strong enough to slowly dissolve carbon in cylinders as well.

Yeah , I've used simple green on cleaning some cruddy stuff but I haven't had a situation where I needed it on plastics yet but for anything else I had used it on I was impressed .

I think it might be Termite buffet that uses it ??
