Got this AM jug from my cousin. It is a no-name chinese jug. I was looking it over to check squish and noticed that the piston is quite a bit above the exhaust port floor at BDC. Is this normal? By the way this is a 064 with a AM 660 slug and jug.IMG_20170921_175735.jpg

True. Just wondering if it would be robbing me in the long run or would be unnoticeable? Just doesn't seem right.

There is little/no flow with the piston that low in the port... the big deal on the exhaust side would be free-porting... of course, making sure the ching chong cyl's have a rounded port roof entrance and chamfered edge is important to piston life as well....

Looks fine, my 036 looks just about the same with the factory cylinder (with gasket delete)
