My pops has a 044 from '98. As he's getting older, he's having a tougher time starting it. Can I add a "start assist" for it? Like what's on the Echo CS-310?

First step I did for my dad once saws got harder to start. For grip and easy pulling on his hand. Stihl 460 rescue handle $5.

One I had on my no decomp 066.

Ok, seems like we got the handle thing figured out. Now are we certain it's tuned spot on (low side) and the timing is dead on and gapped perfect ? Plug fresh ? Have we really perfected the "starting procedure "?
I would strongly suggest a decomp button either for this saw or on another .

If Carl can't come up with anything I have a 440 with a deco that I will pull the cylinder off of and trade it even for the non deco cylinder, I will cover shipping.
