The HD spikes are the same as 365/372 385/390 and are attached using the bar studs. Use of captive bar nuts is lost with the addition of HD spikes on this setup.

Cost is strange on the wrap kit. A clutch cover is 60EU here and the wrap kit including cover, bar, spikes and chain catch is only 5Eu more. Priced the cover yesterday for my 390 project.
I was wondering about the captive bar nuts, that's why the smaller spike mounts to the normal cover it's self, so no holes in the wrap cover, like the 372, 390.[emoji106]

Exactly. You can use the captive nuts cover and small dogs with the wrap, or go for the HD and the 372/390 cover. User preference, I guess. :)

I like that on both the 462 and 572, previous generation spikes can be used. The 462 is compatible with 1122 series Stihls.

The great thing I found about the 572 full wrap is that you can used a full size scrench and still access both bar nuts. :ARMS1: The ergonomics are superb.

As I said before in a old thread, the new wonky box design is so tight only the saws fit in there. Wraps will have to be shipped separately.

Why cant husky develop a HD spike were we don’t lose the captive bar nuts?

I remember reading somewhere guys out west were breaking the 661 captive nuts/studs on the wrap clutch cover, so they are changed to normal ones on there now for the wrap version. The stihl captive system is different than the husky one however...

That was a great deal. Somehow I'm now forced to convert those spare parts into a new saw... LOL.

This is like BRD (Black Rifle Diseases) a firing pin or single spring can transform into a completed gun.

Same thing Larry. I was ordering parts for a Husky I'm putting together to sell and I ended up ordering parts to go on my saws too.

The MS500i is arriving end of March so I have to behave on the spending until then. Lol.
