ThanksThat looks great Ronie!
Thanks KevinLooks good, Ron. Your numbers should make for a nice even-keeled torque curve
I'm going to use a 440 piston, I cut .025 from the band. I would have cut more but I don't want the compression to high. My right elbow and shoulder are shot and I starting saws with my left arm at the moment.Hello. Are you going to use the original piston, or a 272 piston? The 272 piston is higher and singel ring. Very nice for making a pop up piston.
Decomp? 440 piston?I'm going to use a 440 piston, I cut .025 from the band. I would have cut more but I don't want the compression to high. My right elbow and shoulder are shot and I starting saws with my left arm at the moment.
I meant a 460 piston, I'm going to put a decomp in it.Decomp? 440 piston?
I'm going to leave it and see how it does, squish is .022 so I'm good there.Although it probably wont matter with that little bit of free porting if you need a bit more squish clearance, a little gasket made from a soda can or something would sort both out
Thanks, I like the flat black better too. Once I bake it on, I'll take some scotch brite to it and it won't look so chalky.I like the non glossy muffler paint better as well. Looks great.
