Did you try putting the chain on both the bar and rim before installing it on the clutch/saw as one unit? I've managed a few real tight ones, they are a puzzle.On a 7900, with Husky bar, 92dl will work with a 7 pin, 93 with an 8, 94 with a 9.

I did not. Figured if we were spinning up chains for specific saws that they may as well go on easily. But I'm sure that'll happen on a few of them given the different drive link counts and using stihl bars from different manufacturers.
