I have been caring a Barlow knife for almost 60 years. When I was in grade school, the teacher took about one a week. when I graduated the 7th grade the Principal gave them back too me. Every man I know caries a knife, handkerchief and wears a hat. 001.JPG
I have been caring this German Russel for over20 years now

Heres a couple more. These were my dads.
The pioneer is pretty cool. I dont carry it though. Afraid i will loose it.
He gave me a nice little pocket knife years ago that had remington engraved on the blade. I lost it one day at the boat launch in the tall grass. Sure wish i had that knife.

2 items I carry everyday, everywhere. Makita multi-tool courtesy @CJ Brown and a Kershaw Blur. This past year when my wife had surgery in Pittsburgh I locked the 1911 in the car and went in to visit. Guard at the hospital entrance had a metal detector. Had to surrender the Keyshaw and was given a ticket to retrieve it when I left.

I carry a Leatherman everywhere. It was originally issued to me in Iraq in 2005, has been back to Leatherman 4 times for repair; needs to go again as I broke off part of the needle nose. I use it at least 10 times a day.

I also carry one of several Benchmades I have. One that is for fancy occasions I got from my Marines when I ran a security team. They had my name laser etched on the blade, has a nice little padded leather money clip it fits into.

I also carry the auto Presidio daily. Great blades. The spring has been replaced twice due to it breaking. That’s why I like the axis lock autos, you can still use it.

I've been strongly considering an axis lock auto. For about 8 years now. Probably ought to just get it over with already.

Hard to beat the Presidio. Good weight, good balance, good clip that interchangeable side-to-side and the blades hold a pretty good edge.

You guys that carry a fixed blade. Do you find it too big and bulky for lack of a better term. I’m running out of room on my hip for knives. I have a leather man on on my right and a fire pager on my left hip. I started carrying a smaller buck on a pocket clip about 6 months or so ago, and prefer the larger blade and feel over the leathermen blade. Thinking about getting fixed blade over the pocket clip but running out of room on my belt.

I forgot my pocket knife today. I feel lost without it. I keep checking my pocket for it.

I carry an extra one in my lunch bag just for that reason.

I have rolls of 10 micron diamond lapping paper .I clamp a double strip in my bench vise, drown it with WD -40 and use it like a razor strop .In about less than a minute about once every week or so I have my Case XX about like a razor .It probably isn't as good as an Arkansas stone but it's fast .

Well, I carry a Schrade folding knife I have had since about 1981. It does show that I learned how to sharpen blades using it

A multi-tool and the most used tool is the pliers and they have saved my behind a few times. The Phillips screw driver and flat blades I have used only a few times.

A Swedish Steel fire starter.

3 extra mags with thumb loader.

1st Aid kit along with (2) pairs of nitrile gloves

Key lanyards which keep my house and car keys on me and not on the ground somewhere.

Sweat bands and paper towels.

At least one concealed pistol.

Many times if walking about, I carry a straight blade, double edge, full tang, knife in an easy and quick to access sheaf. Opposite side of the gun hand.

A 9v Palight flash light, a couple of pens or markers.

I carry one of those credit card tools, the knife is passable, but, it makes a great pry tool.

Extra length on the boot laces.

Two small bungie cord ties with the ball that you use for tarps. Those have come in very handy when I needed to start a flooded chainsaw. Plus, they can double as a tourniquet.

I usually wear two belts and a t-shirt and shirt. Extra belt carries the weight of the gun and can double as a tree strap in case I need to climb something or hold down strap with how I set it up.

I try to have a Bible in my truck (though with the mandela effects the KJV it is pretty useless now)

I try to be prepared.
