Thought you blokes outside Australia might like to see this.
I took part in a good sized race meet on the weekend and after taking a few places in speed events, had a crack at the novice post rip event as I am learning the craft.
Its VERY hard work on machine and man.

After our comical efforts here are the pros in the open team post rip, cutting 13 posts from 2 billets.
Watch the old fella in the foreground in orange shirt and brown pants.
He is 82 years old, wearing a colostomy bag and recieving chemo therapy for cancer, and still out swinging a 3120 with the best of them.
His young partner in the race put in the biggest hearted effort at the end, its absolutely exhausting to do.

3/8” round filed full comp, 7 tooth.
No air filter.
MS460 carb.
10 degree timing advance.
Turning low 12s in the cut.

Really cool 390. Does that pipe bolt up to any Stihl saw? Or just that 390?
What kind of wood was that? Black Walnut?

It will bolt up to any 1127 series.
I’m thinking the log is elm, looks similar to ash but isn’t.
