It's definately stout. J has those 1122's figured out.

Sounded a fuzz lean? What rpm you at?
I heard what your taking about, at the end of the 2nd cut. Couldn't tell ya what rpm it was at that point in time. The day before at the Michigan gtg i had it fairly fat at 14.1-14.2 and never touched the carb.

All I can think is the phone made it sound a bit lean?? Next time I run it I'll put a tach on it and see where it's at.

I know when Jason had it he was having it 4 stroke at 15k

Tune is somthing you really need to keep an eye on when you have a saw of that caliber. Few of my local buddy's want me to build em some sort of race saw but can't tune their saw from summer to winter and leave the gas in it for 6 to 8 months at a time. :bash:

Good ears Deets The first cut sounded good but you could hear that scream at the end of the second cut... It did not have that lubber noise

I usually just tach a saw when temp swings are drastic. I will be sure to check tune daily,

A simple check can save huge problems lol

Nice to see Jim got that pipe fitted nicely. A little difficult mating a round and a square shape, hope its doing what it should and exhaust flow is good.
I beveled the base plate and spacer so they have a nice taper for the round shape to match up with.
My next step for this build is to fit a larger carb and boot up to it. It is currently running a stock WJ39 carb.

I got the carb tuned right today. The low was way too lean.
Here it is running the same exact set up before and after addition of the pipe.

You would have been handy to have around when we were cutting deck posts the other day. ha-ha Nice job on the saw!
