Since this thread has turned from wrenches to tool porn here is my most useful recent tool acquisition. Ingersol right angle impact.

These are awesome.

At tool school for Mac we were told to soak ratchets in atf. Works good.

damn with all those burnt contact tips...change yer name to " burnttipbrian":polutxoso:
when i change them i toss them in the side of the welder normally for "spares" if need at night or a weekend ,that was after i cleaned out the junk from the spool case, also i change them to new when change from .023 to .030 so a lot are still good if i sort through them

I went out a lunch to visit a wholesale store that carried a lot of Sears stuff to see if they had any cheap tools. When I got there all that was left was a concrete pad. It appears they were burned out when we had the fire at the stockyards a couple of months ago.

Whats the consensus on a good torque wrench? 1/4" and 3/8" drive.

My budget does not allow for Snap-On or Mac prices though unfortunately

ive been using LPS chain mate...its a moly lube...works real good, I clean mine out once a year, lightly spray everything, and put it back together, until the next year.

Thanks Nate, Jake & Cantgitright for responses......I think heavy bearing grease packed in is not needed and hampers the cw/ccw switch. Now I gotta do it again, clean the grease out and just soak in motor oil. Full synthetic? Semi? Castor? Dino? lol
