I have a Mac and harbor freight 1/4 " torque wrench. I use them primarily for diesel vws. They both test the same in our relatively crude degree wheel on a bolt tests. From the top to the bottom of the range.

The Mac was 300 and the harbor freight was 10 bucks.

I have a Husky (from Home Depot) 1/4" torque wrench that has treated me well. I got it to torque rod bolts on Briggs and Honda racing engines. I like it better than the craftsman 3/8 we have at the shop but not as well as my snap on 3/8.

I looked at my Snap-On ratchet, the mark looks like a half moon at a 45 degree angle to the left, I find nothing close on the chart.
I'm guessing mines the same, but I'll look tonight.

Time for some edumacation, Three old 1/4 drive ratchets. Bonney, S&K and an snap on made in 1945. It has US engaved on the side. My father brought this home from the war. also have a set of sockets with it. Now for the edumacation. Did you know back then these were called midget ratchets and were not 1/4 inch. They were 9/32 back then. The ratchet has a G stamped on it which if you look at the chart E and G are Emerg Govm't. I have the original sockets by snap on that fit it, I tried 1/4 and they are too small.

Below is a link to the chart and a tool forum for the story.

Just got back from HF, bought some stuff for the drill and die grinder.
The one you can't see in the air tool drawer is a snap on.
