Got a nice present saturday, I guy I know walked into my shop and said he had a present for me- a perfect set of 395 cases still together crank and all, rare to find 394-395 cases in such good shape- I do a lot of these builds and the biggest setback is the clutch side case is unusable, got all the parts for the making of a great saw, a 372 and that one should both be up and running this week.

Most of the damaged stuff can be repaired. The absolute worst I’ve ever seen was a 394 flywheel side case half. Had over a dozen thin cracks working their way outward from the bearing pocket. Most made it to the end of the magnesium too.

Need someone like you in our neck of the woods that can repair cases like that, would have saved a lot of cases, got a set here with spun bearing syndrome, the bearings no longer press tight into the cases, P.S. name comes up Heather But it is actually Gord, Tried to get it changed from my wifes name to mine but have had no success.
