Weight comes into play when your in 2 feet of snow at times. I would rather get a decent size light saw and have it ported to run with a 2188 rather than lug around a heady saw anyday. There's a difference between logging all day with a saw and just using it once and a while. But I'm not gonna buy a huge ass saw just to run once and a while as it will never pay itself off that way lol. I'm getting a ported 461 heated handle 20" 3/8 .500 . That should cut decent. Thinking about a 24" bar though as I come across some trees thats a hair too big for the 20" but then again if I'm looking to get a bolt usually I cut a small piece out.
