My squarebody has a Goodwrench 350 with about 290k miles on it. Time for something new. I can't decide between a newer Vortec 350, a 6.0 LS, or go crazy, and find a 4 cylinder Detroit that would fit...

I kind of want to start cruising junkyards for a wrecked truck that has a 6.0 and a 6L80. That would be a dream setup in my truck, for sure. Even a decent Vortec 350 with a 4L65 or 4L80 would be a good horsepower and reliability upgrade, for not a lot of $$.

I've still got 283 powerpack heads done up with fly cut intake valves and screw in studs.....and double hump heads stashed away. But.....a LS with a small turbo just makes far too much sense these days.
