@Spike60 so does look the same as what they had you testing?

Yeah, pretty much. Basic chassis was there, but I'm impressed with how many improvements have been done. I suppose I could post pics of the prototype I had now that it has been released. The first thing you'd notice is that is was all orange. The G model I had used the low top cover like I expect the 565 will have. But in pics of the 572G it looks like they are going with the hi top cover. Air holes in the top cover are new as well. All of the things they are highlighting regarding the air cooling are improvements on the prototypes also. That new insulation material between the carb and cylinder is huge. And like I said, it seems simple enough that the 550 and 562 could be updated in some way. That is strictly a GUESS on my part; I have no actual info to go on.

I tried the product number on that chain box and it's not in the system yet.

@Spike60

It looks like these saws are the same, maybe a 565 could be changed to a 572 if we can remove baffles from the transfer covers, just like on the 365/372xp?

Don't think there will be a removable baffle like the 365 has. More likely it will be like the 555/562 where there is a difference in the depth of the transfer covers. The 555 covers are a little shallower than those on the 562.

Ain't that a good question. LOL

If we still have to wait a year for the 572, the Jonny version sure isn't gonna be any sooner.

That makes me sad. Maybe a red 576?

First I thought it was weird to see so many pics just of the tank, but when I started to study I like what I see, them fasteners for the front handle seems to be a good consepte.
I've always praised the 550 xpg, not because they are reliable, but the design and details was a step forward compared against 346 xpg.
Hopefully we soon see more pics from Sweeden, and of course the IPL will be nice to see soon ;)

Those inserts in the bottom of the tank for the handle screws look exactly like those on the 395. They are thinking "big saw" with this design.

I never thought about 395 since they are really abnormal over here lol
When you had the 572 test saw Bob, did it also had the inserts, or did they added them later?

I will not be surprised if Husky update 550, 560 and 562 with several of the 572 ideas, ie, top cover, AT, is the two biggest I can see for 550/552.

"If".. i am understanding the information right........Movable ignition timing control for re start..overspeed protection and reducing case pressure......If ?? that is in real time rather than a group of preset coil settings we have advance and retard like in the automotive industry .
Look at 31 mins on into the vid above ..

Don't know; never had to replace the handles on the 2 I had.

I read a bit more on the sweedish forum tonight, this is according one of them who had the chance to try out the new 572 today:
AT adjusting rate is twice as fast compared against the older AT
According Husky crank rod is more heavier and stronger
Bigger and stronger bearings
To compensate for the heavier crank&bearing the flywheel is lighter.
More noise thought, alot also

Price tag is 1319€...

The thing they was most impressed with is actually the new chain
