The more I look at the saw in the above pic the more it looks like a 88cc class saw.
Sure the lady holding it is tiny and the other saw next to it may only be a 550XP but that saw's top cover straight across looks alot bigger for a 70cc class saw.

From the pics I have of the 73cc MS462 it looks alot more compact then that Husky. We may just have proof of a 590XP in the works.
Either way it looks like the 572XP and MS462 will be introduced about the same time as Cut4 and Spike 60 were talking about new IPL's with a 565-572XP XPG listings.......

When was this speculated release then?

No date yet, those were just new model listings on the Husqvarna EPC (electronic parts catalog) the IPL's can't be opened yet.
BTW that's a nice mint Jonsereds 621 you have there in your avator :applaudit:

I bought my very first new 621 in 1974. Followed by a 80, 801, 90, 910, 920 and a 630. After that I got into the Stihls and Huskies.

Thanks, it is the nicest old saw I've got by far. Got really lucky on an eBay deal. I like your style and choice of old Jonsered's!

I think I'd like a 2172wh before they transition to a new model but figure there is a little time...sure hope they keep the Jonsered brand alive anyway.

Hang onto that 621 as that series was way ahead of its time in its day since introduced around 1970.
It would be way too expensive to build a saw today with the quality of craftsmanship that was put into that old 'sered.
I got a late 1970's Jonsereds 70E given to me that just needs a air filter and cover. It's in really nice shape with very little wear. All the decals are still near perfect.

Dont know about you guys but I have decided I am going to wait a while after any of these new saws come out before buying there's a few questions I need answered before I pull the trigger on one
Issues and reliability/durability?
Power especially after porting?
Weight and handling?
Its exciting to have all these new saws coming out I hope there worth the wait....

I'm with you. I'm hoping that the growing pains of AT were sorted out during the 562 evolution. But until that's determined I'll probably hold off. Secondary reason is I can't always just go buy a brand new $900 saw whenever I want to. Just reality.

For the length of time these saws (462 included) have been cautionary tested in the field I can only think there will be very little chance of any recalls.
Almost looks like Husky and Stihl have been holding out on each other with their production release, waiting on each other to see what step they'll do next.
MS462 is done, press released and sealed. Apparently Husky has their last step in their favor.
