Are these all being built with aftermarket topends? Is there a option of getting a oem kit if you are building them with am p&cs? As always very nice work.
Joe has been using a little bit of everything to experiment, to my knowledge. But I wont speak for the man, I'm sure @Red97 will be around at some point!

Thank you.

A few have been good used oem top ends

This last batch has been aftermarket.

Oem is an option but adds 250$+ to the price. Stihl is mighty proud of the p/c kits.

That is all discussed with the customer when they order.

Now truthfully, these am jugs weld 10x better than the used oem. Don't have years of oil baked into them

I figure if the plating will hold up to the welding/porting it should hold up in service. Throw in a meteor piston and caber rings, seems to be a very solid option.

These am castings are thicker. More room to move/shape the ports.

Since I had to split the 54mm anyway.
Figured I may as well match the transfer tunnels to the piston. Then I could match the case to the cylinder.

See if it likes the extra volume.

All the 52mm are matchedd to the base gasket.
