My new unfavorite model. The Husky 562. This is the first and last 562 I will be doing, fućk this saw.

I hear that they are running MF’ers, but the ergonomics/complexity of the design falls short vs. Stihl’s designs by a mile.

They say it takes a town to raise a child, it took a town to build this saw. Couldn’t of done it without the help of the friends I’ve found here. Had to re-tool just for this model. The cylinder design and the plated squish band made any one off shortcuts impossible. Maybe I will do another, but I doubt it.

I’m up to the lovely muffler mod. My understanding is that if you go through the top and rear, you short circuit straight out the deflector and get one noisy sumnabeech. After a day of fighting with the saw, I cut the muffler open on the bottom where all sins will be hidden. It will be welded back together.

That cage design is the same as a 550 mark I also, after you do a few they aren't so bad., Carb box is busy too, lots of things in them, the 572 and 550 mark II have a little better layout IMO. Good to see you stepping out of your comfort zone though. I think it keeps it interesting.

Sharpening drill bits.... some of these I've picked up at yard sales, etc. Taking a bunch of passes to clean them up....

That looks way more robust then my Drill Doctor. I have had real good luck with it though. I love it

I bought a drill doctor many years ago and have used it with success too, but this machine is definitely superior. It belongs to my brother....

Those are nice machines but you can sharpen bits by hand with a bench grinder which is pretty easy. Plus what that thing costs, you could buy a straight and right angle handpiece with a nice collection of burrs.

I hear ya.... my brother bought this thing for a song on craigslist... only reason I'm using it... but it sure is nice....

My dad's buddy's old Northern Hydraulic / Northern Tool pressure washer. GX340 11.0 HP Honda. Been sitting for a while and he wants it running and serviced. Fired on a prime shot. Looked in the tank and it was dry but had a bunch of rust particles floating around so a good blast of compressed air had it clean. Carb was not saveable, new carb on the way. If I get a carb with this much corrosion/rust I just replace it, saves me and the customer a lot of frustration. Other than a fuel system overhaul it'll be getting a new air filter, plug and fluids changed.

Also got my stock of BPMR7A, set for a while now.
